Kenzai Nutrition is a 35 day program designed to help busy people get their diets in check. We accomplish this with daily lessons that will educate you on how to eat healthier, personalized weekly nutrition plans from our team of nutritionists along with guidance from our National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified trainers, and share experiences with other trainees in our community.

Our Method

At Kenzai, we don’t use templates or algorithms to generate meal plans. We start by building a foundation with daily lessons that will teach you how to make eating right everyday part of your lifestyle.

Our nutritionists answer your questions along the way and design weekly nutrition plans specifically for you. This will give you an opportunity to practice what you’ve learned and dial in your confidence.

Each week of your program, you get a new hand-crafted nutrition plan based on your current condition. 35 days, no gimmicks or fad diets. Just real food... and real results.

Our nutritionists supply your macro grams, you pick the flavors. Love broccoli but hate carrots? No problem. Are you lactose-intolerant vegetarian? We have a plan for you. Just get grams in, every day...and you’ll get results.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the diet work?

We focus on eating “real” food, meaning non-processed, wholesome fruits, vegetables, and protein sources. Instead of telling you exactly what to eat, we design your diet around how many grams of vegetables, meat, and fruit to eat at each meal. For example, if you’ve been assigned 120 grams of carbs for lunch, you could fill those grams with bread, pasta, or rice. It’s up to you! Every week your diet is revised based on your goals and how your body is changing.

Can the diet be adjusted for my needs?

Yes! Our nutrition team will work around any allergies or food restrictions you have. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose intolerant, or any other preferences will be taken into account when we make your diet.

How long does it take to prepare meals?

Depending on your organization and cooking skills, meal prep can take between 30 and 90 minutes a day. As you train we’ll give you lots of tips to find efficiencies so you’re not spending all day in the kitchen.

Can I drink alcohol?

Aside from a few special days where you’re allowed to have a treat, we ask that you don’t consume any caloric drinks during the training. This means alcohol is off the table, along with sodas, juices, frappuccinos, etc…

What are your sources?

All of our methods are supported by scientific studies and proven approaches. We are happy to revise our methods and teachings if the accepted science changes. When an idea is contentious, we let you know and explore the different hypotheses the scientific community has developed.

Can I just do the diet? Why do I need daily lessons?

When you engage your nutrition program both physically and intellectually, you have much better results. It’s the difference between just following orders blindly vs. knowing the reasons why you’re making the choices you are. When you understand what’s going on inside your body (both biologically and psychologically), your motivation to get your food right becomes rock solid.

I already know a lot about eating well. Will Kenzai teach me anything new?

Even former professional athletes and medical professionals have been surprised how many small details they were missing in their diets. Our lessons have been refined to be clear, concise, and full of insider techniques we’ve learned in our years of working with clients around the world.

How does Kenzai keep me accountable?

We keep you accountable in several different ways.
  • With your journal, you make a public commitment to the Kenzai community. No one trains in the shadows.
  • Your trainer will be working closely with you, encouraging (and sometimes prodding) you to not give up and be your best.
  • Every week you upload a body photo, visible to your training team. This keeps you motivated to stay on diet and keep up with your cardio.

How can an online trainer possibly be better than an in-person coach?

We too had this question when we began training online. And to our surprise, we find that we consistently get BETTER results working with people on the internet than our in-person clients. Why? Working with someone online allows you to have more access to them as opposed to a Nutritionist you would see less frequently. And it gives you more access to your teammates for support. But even more important, when you train online, you learn to rely on an internal sense of motivation. Only YOU can complete the necessary steps to stick to your diet. Intrinsic motivation will always lead to better results than the external motivation of someone watching over your shoulder.

How do I talk to my trainer?

Everyday interactions happen on your journal, where your trainer will follow along with you and comment on your progress and issues that you’re wrestling with. Your trainer also connects with you via your program’s team chat channel, and they’re available 1-to-1 through a private chat, email, or even a scheduled video call. Our community of trainers can be reached via our Trainer Questions channel. We’ll meet you on the platform of your choice!

How is Kenzai Nutrition sustainable?

Most diet plans are fads that focus on either cutting out entire categories of food or severely restricting how much you eat. Many lack specifics and want to string you along for years at a time. Kenzai doesn’t cut cut corners, we give you detailed diets and accountability systems, led by qualified trainers and nutritionists. In addition, we focus strongly on educating you to take care of yourself, with daily lessons and multimedia explorations of what goes into truly eating well. This approach means that results are much deeper than losing a bit of weight with a fad diet. Kenzai graduates often describe the completion of their program as the beginning of a new chapter in their life. This adds up to deep, sustainable results that stand the test of time.
