Farther…Faster…Smarter…If you’ve caught the distance running bug in Kenzai Run or Kenzai Run 10k and have been contemplating “what’s next?” Kenzai Run Half has the answers.
Run Half was designed for Kenzai Run & Run 10k graduates who want to reach for a new distance goal over an additional 6 weeks of training. For this second round, we have our sights set on one of the most popular race distances, the half-marathon. You’ll get the same no-nonsense formula you know and trust: daily workouts and lessons, individualized weekly diets, blogging and trainer support. Best of all, you’ll be training among an ever-growing and enthusiastic Kenzai running community.
While the focus remains on increasing your endurance, stamina and speed, you’ll start to learn the skills needed to become your own personal running coach; developing a better understanding of your current conditioning, setting training and race goals, and selecting the best strategies to get you to the finish line. With Kenzai Run Half under your belt, you’ll have the tools and the fitness-level to show up on race day confident and prepared.
This program is open to all Kenzai Run & Run 10k graduates and everyone should be ready to hit the ground running on Day 1. Recently graduated? You can expect to seamlessly transition into Kenzai Run Half.
If some time has lapsed since Kenzai Run or Run 10k, plan to ramp up your running a few weeks before the program start to 3-4 times a week including a recent 10k. Once you get back to that level and we’ll take it from there.
